And my guests are the traces of
Ceratostigma willmottianum
Campanula persicifolia
Aster novi-belgii
Anarrhinum [ sic] bellidifolium
Fuchsia 'Dr. Roberts'
Kerria japonica pleniflora
Sedum 'Autumn Joy'
Spiraea japonica 'Shirobana'
Antirrhinum 'Ruby Glow'
And see what these remnants of Summer get up to when no-one is looking:

Dancing the night away in their swirling and twirling party frocks.
Friday's Find:
There's still beauty in the last hangers-on of Summer's bounty, even if the scarce flowers are now small, tattered and few in number. Gathered together they still give a lift and propel our thoughts forward to Spring and beyond.

Wow, once again you blow me away!!! Beautiful, beautiful , beautiful. I'm amazed to see that you still Kerria in flower. Do you have the large simple flowering type, like "Kerria japonica 'Golden Guinea?' Thank you for sharing your flowers and marvelous photography. Tom The Backroads Traveller
ReplyDeleteLovely flowerparty :-)
ReplyDeleteNice mandalas you made -
@ Tom,
ReplyDeleteThank you. The double Kerria is a thug, and now covers way too much ground. But....it is so healthy and the flowers are like a vertical buttercup meadow in June. But throughout the entire year there are always a handful of flowers showing.
Yes, you are right: the large single flowered one is also very good. I'm just afraid that we will end up with an acre of Kerria :-)
Very pretty.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteLovely colourful flowers.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a marvellous bouquet for your late Autumn. So colourful and you have made such a great arrangement and kaleidoscopic images of the bouquets.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in Floral Friday Fotos, hope to see your work there again this week!
