Earlier than other years.
I left it close to a radiator by a window overgrown with Clematis montana. After a few weeks of central heating, the plant took off with a vengeance. Can't believe it but it is about a month earlier than other years.
I'm not complaining. I honoured it with a few lines from one of my poems.
In case anybody is interested, this orchid is called Coelogyne cristata.
I bought it as a tiny green seedling from an American dealer at an orchid fair, and didn't have high hopes.
